Looks great but leaks
I bought this for my daughter because it is spill proof, looks nice and has a soft silicon spout. It has a hard cover which protects the silicon spout, which is great because the little one loves to drop her cup. The problem is, it leaks! There are these 3 "indents" on the silicon part that should align with the three "indents" on the plastic cover, but for whatever reason, when I screw the top shut the alignment is always off. 100% of the time! I have tried little tricks to make sure it remains aligned after I screw it shut, but the alignment always shifts and then the cup leaks. I never got to use the cup and have simply put it in the category of things that didn't work for me.
Fills a Gap in the Market
I think these cups are great for babies that reject cups with harder spouts. This was the case with my daughter. She is doing really well using this cup. I was a little concerned about the soft nipple breaking, but this has not happened. This might be a risk with children that chew on the cup more. In that case a harder spout might be better for them. I also haven't had problems aligning it. The cups that I have though have two notches to align, so I don't know if the cups I have are slighly a newer version of the one described by another reviewer. Most cups on the market are not like these ones. I think they help fill a gap for babies that prefer softer spouts.
our favorite sippy so far
It works for my baby. It is not too heavy and it is the right size for him. I also love that it is BPA free.
